CAF Signalling strengthens its position in the tramway sector due to Tel Aviv project

The consortium created by the CAF Group and the construction company Shapir has been selected by NTA (Metropolitan Mass Transit Systems) as the successful bidder for the Purple Line light rail project in Tel Aviv (Israel). The approximate volume of the investment exceeds 1,015 million euros, of which more than 525 million euros belong to the CAF Group, which will be responsible for the design and manufacture of the new units, the supply of signalling, energy and communications systems, and the integration of the project.

In particular, CAF Signalling will be responsible for integrating and commissioning the Signalling & Train Control system with the installation of QUASAR interlockings and its own technology NAOS CTC.

With this new award, CAF Signalling strengthens its position in the tramway sector after Antalya, Cuiabá Kaohsiung and Liège, among others.
