Caf to supply trams for Omaha, Nebraska, in the United States of America

Omaha Streetcar Authority, an Interlocal Agency set up in partnership between the City of Omaha and Omaha Metro to execute the city’s new tram network project, has chosen CAF   the units that will operate on the line.

CAF will supply 6 low-floor Urbos trams. The units will be equipped with OESS (On Board Energy Storage System) technology which allows operation on sections without catenary. The new tramway network will connect the historic Blackstone district with downtown Omaha via a line with 16 stops and almost 5 kilometres in length.
