The General Subdirectorate of Financial Development of Internationalisation received in the last quarter of last year a large number of proposals for technical assistance projects likely to be financed from the non-reimbursable line of the FIEM (Corporate Internationalisation Fund). The possibility of having an instrument that would allow our companies to offer their clients non-reimbursable financing (donations) to be able to carry out technical assistance, consulting, engineering, etc. is something that has always been claimed from Mafex, and the success of this first call comes to demonstrate how necessary it was and the high degree of preparation and responsiveness of the Spanish industry.
It is important to note that such a wave of requests, well above the available resources, has forced those responsible for the fund to strictly prioritise the projects of interest based on the export capacity, customer profile, etc. and, also, to spread out the allocated budgets for 2021, 2022 and 2023, of 10, 20 and another 20 million, respectively.
