MAFEX HELD ON 18TH APRIL THE FIRST SESSION OF 2023 OF THE “INTERNATIONAL MARKETS FORUM”, WHICH FOCUSED ON ITALY, A MARKET THAT HOSTS GREAT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPANISH RAILWAY COMPANIES THANKS TO THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS IT IS EXPERIENCING WITH THE REFORMS AND INVESTMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH EUROPEAN UNION FUNDS.
In the first part of the conference, Joan Gasol, collaborator of Mafex, presented the study carried out on Italy and the opportunities it offers for Mafex members.
Subsequently, Andrea Giuricin (TRA Consulting) presented the liberalisation process that the railway market is experiencing in Italy, while Massimo Martinelly and Federico Carpita (M.A.I. Consulting) focused on the planned investments in railway matters and the tenders expected over the next three years. Then, Marina Ruiz de Ojeda (Promotions and Investment Office of ICE – Italian Trade Agency – at the Italian Embassy), presented the mechanisms to support investments in Italy and the services of the Promotions and Investment Office for companies interested in addressing the market.
Finally, Claudio Zamponi (CAF) and Giovanni Monni (Stadler), shared their experience and the trajectory of their companies in Italy, emphasising the importance of developing a long-term strategy to obtain a good result in the country.
