GMF, a COMSA Corporación company, has won the contract for the integral maintenance of Line 2 of the Lima and Callao Metro, Peru’s first underground metro system. The project, valued at more than 250 million euros and with a duration of 25 years, has been awarded by the Sociedad Concesionaria Metro de Lima Línea 2, which includes the concessionaires Iridium (ACS) and Vialia (FCC), among other companies.
GMF will be in charge of passenger rolling stock maintenance, maintenance of auxiliary railway vehicles and facilities maintenance. The first phase of the contract began last December with 20 employees, although the team will reach 85 people in the second phase, with the commissioning of the 42 trains and the entire infrastructure of Line 2.
