THE ALSTOM FOUNDATION HAS FINANCED HIRING SPECIALISED TEACHERS, JOB COACHES, PSYCHOLOGISTS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT STAFF TO CREATE THE CONTENT.
The “Inclusive Trains” project, developed with FUNDACIÓN JUAN XXIII, has been selected as one of the following projects to be funded by the Alstom Foundation in 2023. This initiative, aimed at improving the employability of people with intellectual disabilities, consists of developing and implementing a training course in the railway sector to offer new job opportunities: assistance on board trains, support staff in stations, etc.
The Alstom Foundation has financed hiring specialised teachers, job coaches, psychologists and administrative support staff to create the content. The training covers aspects such as the structure and organisation of a station, assistance to dependent persons, passenger assistance in English, cafeteria and mobile bar services or prevention and action in emergencies.
Each year, the Alstom Foundation invites all employees to submit proposals for charitable projects where the organisation can actively collaborate with financial contributions and logistical support. Among them, in 2023, the Foundation will finance 33 projects, with a particular focus on initiatives to promote the employability of vulnerable groups, such as young people and women, as well as welfare and children’s education programmes.
FUNDACIÓN JUAN XXIII is a benchmark in specialised training, active support in the search for employment and training for people in a situation of psychosocial vulnerability. The Training Centre for Employment offers courses, certificates of professionalism and different training courses at no cost to the student.
