Innovation in rail auscultation

THE IMATHIA DEVICE CONSISTS OF TWO COILS THAT ARE POSITIONED ONE ON EACH SIDE OF THE RAIL INSTANTANEOUSLY, MEASURING THE IMPEDANCE IN CONTINUOUS SCANNING.

IMATHIA has a system that allows the measurement of inhomogeneities in ferromagnetic elements through the detection of fluctuations in electrical conductivity and magnetic permeability, by means of magnetic scanning.

What is measured is the shielding produced by the sample on a magnetic field that acts on one side of it and that sharply decreases the value of the field on the other side.

The device consists of two coils that are positioned one on each side of the rail instantaneously, measuring the impedance in continuous scanning. This device is portable and autonomous and allows the auscultation of the state of the rail, both on free track and on deviations, through the use of two electromagnetic sensors installed in a manual drag trolley.
