Sener is part of the design team for the Stations, Rail and Systems (SRS) project for the Scarborough subway extension in Toronto. This project will extend the Toronto Transit Commission’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers from the existing Kennedy Station to McCowan and Sheppard Avenue.
Scarborough Transit Connect is the consortium between Aecon and FCC Canada Limited selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the project using a progressive design-build (PDB) model, and includes Sener, Mott McDonald and local architects as designers.
The proposed extension will include three new stations with connections to Line 5 (the Eglinton Crosstown LRT), GO train and bus services, TTC bus service and Durham Region Transit, connecting to various transportation systems to facilitate travel in and out of the city.
