TPF GETINSA
TPF, in Join Venture with Auxitec, has been awarded a new important contract in Azerbaijan, consolidating our presence in the railway sector in this country. The overall objective is the improvement of the railway infrastructure through rehabilitation and upgrading of major assets, such as track, power supply, signalling and locomotives, along the Baku – Böyük-Kesik corridor.
This corridor is the main railway line in Azerbaijan and runs East-West, connecting Baku and the Caspian Sea with Georgia. It is very important for freight train services (oil, petrol, general products) and has also a number of passenger and express train connections.
The contract, with an initial duration of 30 months, includes 4 sections with a total length of 502 km (equivalent to 1,435.4 km of single track).
