TPF INGENIERÍA remains one of the companies on which Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado Chileno, Chile’s state-owned railway company, relies for its bridge works

Two new construction supervision assignments for which the selected company is the Chilean Agency of TPF GETINSA EUROESTUDIOS have recently commenced.

The Chagres bridge is located at chainage 217,600 on the Central Southern Line. The existing bridge will be demolished to build a new one. The planned structure will be located on the same site as the former bridge. It will be built in two stages, starting with a temporary track to maintain rail traffic during construction of the bridge in a second stage.

The Codegua bridge is located at chainage 65+386 on the Central Southern Line, allowing the railway line to pass over the Codegua stream. It has a length of 48 m. The works involve the construction of cofferdams to divert the stream, the construction of a 30.4 m riprap protection wall and the restoration of a 300 m stretch of the stream.
